Over on the Escher Girls blog, which does an amazingly consistent and good job of slicing and dicing comic book art featuring women, a submission was posted which blew my already cynical mind.

WELP.

This is just about the most angering and depressing thing I’ve read in a while…and I read Weeaboo Stories.

I make curvy women all the time, who I’m pretty sure are anatomically possible and still not “fat”. I’m even going to start making some chubby characters. And you know what? I’m very disappointed in this comic company. I want to design characters and costumes for pretty much anything I can get into, but if I end up in comics, I sure as hell hope most of the companies are not like this…however, from what I’ve seen from Escher Girls, I’m beginning to doubt this…

Guess what? I’m already interested in this girl called Gert. Perhaps I’ll have to check out her story…
